For my next Citizen Spotlight, I would like to recognize Peg Gray of Wyoming. Peg is a pillar of the Wyoming community and a major contributor to many local charities and events, including the Stark County Fall Festival.
Here’s what Peg’s nominator had to say – “Peg pours out her heart for Wyoming. She has kept the Spoon River Drive going, is over the benevolence fund helping those in need get crucial help, volunteers countless hours to raise money for the American Cancer Society, and has donated countless hours to volunteer at the Nazarene Church to help the kids have a great time and build firm foundations. She has taken care of multiple friends and loved ones through health challenges, driving them to appointments, and being there in their final moments. She is always ready with a smile, a laugh, a joke, or a hug. There is no one I can think of that could ever fill her shoes.”
Peg, I am proud to recognize your selfless and important contributions to Stark County and your local Wyoming community. Your continued involvement in volunteering, charitable work, community events, and service to humanity is truly inspirational. As your nominator pointed out, your impacts are far reaching and impossible to duplicate.
