Citizen Spotlight: Michelle Cozzi and Andy McGava

I would like to recognize Michelle Cozzi and Andy McGava of Cozzi Ranch for my next Citizen Spotlight feature. Cozzi Ranch is located in rural Wyoming and serves as a welcoming haven where youth and individuals with developmental disabilities can enjoy fishing, hunting, and outdoor exploration.

Here’s what Michelle and Andy’s nominator had to say: ‘I proudly nominate Michelle Cozzi and Andy McGava of Cozzi Ranch for community recognition because they exemplify what it means to serve with heart, purpose, and inclusivity. Cozzi Ranch is more than a ranch – it’s a sanctuary where individuals with developmental disabilities and their families are welcomed with open arms and open fields.

‘Through fishing, hunting, and nature-based experiences, Cozzi Ranch offers joy, healing, and empowerment. Their commitment to accessibility and dignity ensures that every visitor, regardless of ability, feels seen, valued, and celebrated. It’s a place where laughter echoes across the land, where memories are made under wide skies, and where advocacy is lived, not just spoken.’

Michelle and Andy, I am so proud of everything you are doing for the wonderful individuals of the communities you serve. Your spirit embodies everything about community service, uplifting those impacted by developmental disabilities, and helping them experience the wonders and enrichment of the outdoors. You are truly making a difference, and I am honored to recognize and spotlight your efforts!
