This week’s Intern Spotlight is Molly Cottrell! Molly is a student at PCHS, and the main reasons she wanted this internship is for leadership experience, gaining an insight into government, learning about policy development, and getting more professional experience.
She also hopes to get a better understanding of each community’s needs, as well as a greater appreciation of how policy is shaped in Illinois.
Outside of work, Molly is very active at PCHS, where she is involved in girls golf, girls basketball, and is the leader of the student section at the high school.
In addition to Molly’s internship, we are also proud to say that she will be joining the Office on a more consistent basis through PCHS’s Work-Based Learning Program. Starting in January, Molly will be in the Office every day for several hours taking on projects that range from managing constituent cases to conducting policy research and coordinating community outreach events.
Thanks so much for all of your great work, Molly! We’re all very excited to have you on the team!
