Last week, my Director of Education and Agriculture Outreach, Dr. Kristen Strom, and I toured the Galesburg Area Vocation Center in Galesburg.
Vocational Director Adam Seaney provided a very informative (and interactive) overview of everything the GAVC has to offer, from law enforcement and automotive training to their CNA and early-childhood programs.
I even got to act as a patient for their CNA students, and I was able to try on their pregnancy vest, which includes a list of tasks students must be able to complete while wearing the vest.
Thank you for the incredible tour, and I’m so excited to see how the GAVC expands and serves more students in the future!
