Citizen Spotlight: Rick Linthicum

I am recognizing Rick Linthicum of Brimfield for my next Citizen Spotlight feature. Rick was recently honored for 25 years of service as a police officer with the City of Peoria. Officer Linthicum is a single dad with two teenage girls who is heavily involved in his local community, including with Easter Seals and a number of other groups.

Recently, Rick helped organize a benefit program titled “Buckets for Bizosky” that honors the legacy of a 16-year-old student from Brimfield High School who passed away last year due to colon cancer. Proceeds from this program will help support the Grant Bizosky Memorial Fund. As his nominator pointed out, “If someone needs help, Rick is always there.”

I want to thank Officer Rick Linthicum for all of his efforts in his local community, along with his dedicated service to public safety for 25 years to everyone in Peoria. Rick, we are grateful for everything you do to make our communities kinder, safer, and better places to live.
