For my next Citizen Spotlight feature, I would like to recognize Bill Morrissey of Wyoming. The Morrissey family has owned Morrissey Appliance in Wyoming since it was founded in 1959 by Bill’s parents, Ray and Dorothy. Currently, the business is run by Bill, his wife Karen, and his brother Joe.
From Bill’s nominator: “Bill’s family has run Morrissey Appliance here in town for over 60 years. Bill is a long-standing member of the Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, and Lions Club. He has supported the Wyoming youth program from the very beginning, sponsoring many teams. He also volunteered to change the marquee coming into Wyoming to keep people informed on what is happening. He is truly a pillar of our community.”
Thank you, Bill, for your outstanding contributions to the Wyoming community. Your family represents the American dream of what hard work, skill, and dedication can bring. It is my honor to recognize you and your family’s legacy while also spotlighting your efforts!
We are still accepting submissions for Citizen Spotlight honors. If you would like to nominate someone who deserves recognition for their special contributions to your community, please visit this link and fill out the form. Thank you! Rep. Weaver’s Citizen Spotlight
