Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time to shine a light on the fight against breast cancer and to raise awareness about the importance of early detection. It’s a time for us to honor those who have bravely fought against breast cancer.
People like my Mom, who when I was 18 years old, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Even hearing the word “cancer” brings back feelings of pain and sadness that are hard to put into words. However, due to the amazing work of advocacy groups, my Mom went in for her screenings and they caught it early.
Her doctors were incredible, and after multiple rounds of radiation, we were ecstatic to hear that she was in remission. We thank God every day that she is still with us, and I encourage you and your loved ones to get screened today.
