Congratulations to Komatsu America Corp.’s facility in Peoria for manufacturing the winning entry in the 2024 “Makers Madness” competition hosted by the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association! The massive mining truck produced by Komatsu was one of more than 200 entries in the fifth annual contest.
The truck has a hauling capacity of up to 400 tons and weighs more than 1.3 million pounds. The Komatsu truck has earned the title of “Coolest Thing Made in Illinois” for 2024. Congratulations to all who entered the contest for your efforts!
