Our team is growing, and I couldn’t be more excited to introduce the staff who work hard day-in and day-out to serve the constituents of Illinois’ 93rd House District!
First up is Karun Jaswal, who currently attends Black Hawk College in Moline. Karun plans to transfer to the University of Iowa next fall, where he will major in Finance and Computer Science.
“I wanted to work in government because of an interest in politics I gained back in 2016,” Karun stated. “Ever since then, I have been involved in politics in some way, shape, or form. I have had the honor of meeting influential figures, including former President Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Governor Ron DeSantis.”
In his spare time, Karun works with his father and uncle at their gas stations in Annawan, Galva, Geneseo, and Morrison. Karun also enjoys watching the UFC, NBA, and NFL, along with spending time with friends and family.
“What I hope to gain from this internship with Representative Weaver’s office is a better understanding of how the legislative process works, specifically in Illinois,” Karun added. “I also hope to bring new ideas to the 93rd District by leveraging my broad network of politicians around the country.”
