Rep. Weaver Highlights Illinois Grocery Initiative Equipment Upgrades on #NOFOFriday

Today’s #NOFOFriday highlights the Illinois Grocery Initiative Equipment Upgrades! The goal of this grant is to provide funding for energy-efficient equipment upgrades for existing independently owned for-profit grocery stores, cooperative grocery stores, or not-for-profit grocery stores.

The awarding agency is the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, and the award amount ranges from $25,000-$250,000. For-profit, not-for-profit, and cooperative grocery stores are all eligible to apply. However, final eligibility will be determined by characteristics and intended offerings of the store.
