Last week, elected officials from around the area gathered to discuss the legislative priorities for the City and County of Peoria. My remarks remained consistent with what I’ve harped on since Day 1 – we must get our financial house in order so we’re not kicking our problems into the lap of our children.
I applaud many of the elected officials and administrators on the call who shared my concerns. I am a firm believer that Illinois’ best days can still be ahead; but only if we are disciplined in how we work to make it so.
