Praying for Our Country as We Remember 9/11

This morning I joined thousands across the country who stopped at their county courthouse to pray for our country as we remember 9/11.

As I saw President Lincoln, his words rang in my head, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” I was in the 4th grade when the planes struck our buildings. I vividly remember how strongly our nation came together following the day’s tragic events.

I prayed for our country to return to that unity and love for our neighbors as we remember we are One Nation Under God. We are a people who set our foundation on his rock and have thereby been blessed for the past 250 years. I pray that we return to that firm foundation as we fight for our future.

God bless,
