In response to last weekend’s crime in Chicago, State Rep. Travis Weaver (R-Edwards) said:
“The looting and destruction in Chicago last weekend was unacceptable. Chicago Mayor-Elect Brandon Johnson is unwilling to call it what it is. I know this is a controversial statement…but it’s time to make crime illegal in Illinois.”
