Last week, I visited the Spoon River Pregnancy Center in Canton, IL, to discuss all that they’re doing to provide free, confidential services that help women plan for their pregnancy and gain information.
Unfortunately, pregnancy centers like Spoon River are at-risk of being targeted and fined by the State of Illinois. They are an incredible resource and don’t deserve to be punished for trying to assist those who need help and hope in trying times.
I have visited several pregnancy resource centers over the past year and am always overwhelmed by the love and compassion with which they operate. If anybody is unsure or perhaps unsettled by misinformation about what these centers do, please reach out, I would be happy to help schedule a visit.
